Free hardware, shared revenue — how our revenue sharing model works

You provide the location, we provide the machine. Instead of a monthly fee or a one-time payment, we share the revenue based on a split we agree upon together. This model is ideal for location owners who prefer not to invest their own capital, such as hotels, shopping centers, clinics, coworking spaces, and public facilities.

Frequently asked questions about financing

How much does snack machine leasing cost?

Leasing for a snack machine starts at from €99 per month plus VAT. The leasing payments are tax-deductible as a business expense. Terms range between 24 and 60 months. At the end of the term, you can take over the machine. Service and maintenance are included. Leasing is the most tax-efficient way to finance a snack machine.

What does a vending machine cost?

A vending machine costs between 2,000 and 15,000 euros net, depending on type and configuration. Compact snack machines start at around 3,290 euros, combi machines for snacks and drinks at around 4,200 euros, and premium models with a 55-inch touchscreen and DOOH integration up to 15,000 euros. For operators without a capital buffer: rental from a one-day term, leasing from 99 euros/month or revenue sharing with 0 euros invested.

How much does it cost to rent a vending machine?

You can rent a vending machine from a one-day term. Maintenance, technical support and software updates are included. Rental terms start from one day, ideal for tests, pop-ups and seasonal use. For longer terms, individual conditions are possible. Alternatively: leasing from 99 euros/month with a tax advantage (payments deductible as a business expense). You can get a free comparison of conditions through our contact form.

What happens if the location generates little revenue?

With revenue sharing you pay no fixed amount — no revenue means no cost for you, because vyndo carries the hardware risk. That's why we assess location quality in advance: traffic, target group and a fitting product range decide the outcome. If a location consistently brings too little, we adjust together — a different range, different prices via dynamic pricing or a better spot. Through the telemetry dashboard you see in real time which products sell and which don't, and you make data-based decisions instead of relying on gut feeling. With purchase, rental and leasing you carry the location risk yourself — which is why the upfront analysis matters especially here.

Which locations are suited to revenue sharing?

Revenue sharing suits high-traffic locations with predictable visitor flow: hotels, shopping centers, clinics, office buildings, universities and public facilities. The higher the footfall, the more attractive the split — for you as well as for vyndo. The reason: because vyndo provides the hardware free of charge and shares in the revenue, the location has to deliver enough transactions for the model to pay off for both sides. As a rule of thumb, locations with 200 or more daily passers-by bring the best ROI. For low-traffic locations, we tend to recommend rental or purchase. We clarify which model fits in the free location analysis beforehand.

Does vyndo help with setup?

Yes. We support delivery, placement and initial setup, regardless of the financing model. The machine arrives ready to operate: software configured, payment terminal activated, compartment layout set to your product planning. On site, that means unpack, plug in, sell, in under 30 minutes and with no IT setup. On request, we also advise on positioning at the location and on product selection for your target group. With revenue sharing, we handle delivery, setup and branding in full; you only provide power and floor space. This way you start without a buffer for installation days and without any technical work of your own.

Are there hidden fees?

No. All costs are stated transparently in the quote: purchase price or monthly rate, optional maintenance and the credit-based add-on modules, if you book them. There are no downstream activation fees and no forced upgrades. The reason for this transparency: you should be able to calculate your ROI cleanly before purchase, and with a payback of 6 to 12 months at good locations, every item counts. Cashless payment runs on the industry standards MDB and DEX, so you are not tied to a single payment provider with its own fee models. What is in the quote applies.

Are maintenance and repairs included?

With rental, leasing and revenue sharing, maintenance and support are included in the monthly price — including remote diagnostics, on-site repairs and spare-part shipping. With a purchase, you optionally choose a maintenance package or pay only as needed. The real cost advantage lies in the telemetry: your machine reports issues such as a coin jam or temperature deviation in real time, before revenue is lost. We solve many problems via remote access, with no technician visit at all. vyndo rolls out software updates automatically over the cloud. That keeps your machine ready to operate without you having to plan for scheduled maintenance windows.

What credit check is required?

With rental and leasing, we carry out a standard credit check, as is customary with any monthly financing. Buying requires no check, because no ongoing obligation arises. With revenue sharing, it is not your credit rating that decides but the quality of your location — footfall, target group and revenue potential. The reason: with revenue sharing, vyndo carries the hardware risk, not you. The check is fast and straightforward; for most commercial operators it is a formality. We discuss the details of documents and process in the free consultation, before you commit.

How exactly does revenue sharing work?

You provide the location and the floor space, and vyndo provides the machine free of charge. Instead of a fixed rate, the revenue is split according to an agreed share — typical models are 20/80, 30/70 or 50/50, depending on location quality and product range. Billing runs automatically through the telemetry dashboard: every transaction is recorded in real time, and the split is shown transparently each month. Maintenance, support and telemetry are included. The benefit for you: no capital outlay, no hardware risk and still an additional revenue stream on space that otherwise only costs rent. If revenue is low, you pay no fixed amount.

Can I switch from renting to leasing?

Yes. When your business changes, we adjust the financing model. Many operators start with rental to test a location at low risk, then switch to leasing after one to two months of stable revenue. The reason: leasing lowers the monthly rate to from €99 and makes the payments tax-deductible as a business expense. The machine stays the same, your product range stays the same, only the contract changes. The reverse is also possible — switching from rental to purchase when you want full control and ownership. We calculate both options transparently for you before the change.

How long does a rental contract run?

Rental contracts start from a term of one day and can be extended to several years for permanent locations. The short entry point is deliberate: you test a location before you plan for the long term. For events, pop-ups and seasonal campaigns you choose the short term; for a fixed location you agree longer terms at lower monthly rates. In every case, maintenance is included in the rental price, along with remote diagnostics via telemetry and on-site repairs. The exact term and rate depend on the model and configuration and are stated bindingly in your quote.

Buy or rent: which pays off more?

It depends on your planning horizon. Buying pays off for established operators with a capital buffer — the machine is yours right away, with no ongoing fees. Renting is more cost-effective for beginners, pop-ups and tests (from a one-day term, maintenance included). Leasing combines predictable rates with a tax advantage (rates are deductible). Revenue sharing is free for location owners with a high-traffic site — the revenue is shared.
