24-hour machine: the shop that never closes
The world is "on-demand". Customers don't want to stand in front of locked doors. A 24-hour machine (24/7) closes the gap between closing time and opening time. It is the simplest way to raise revenue.

The need for availability
The key benefits
Extra revenue around the clock
The machine sells while you sleep. The strongest sales times are often Sundays and evenings between 8 pm and midnight, exactly when the competition is closed.
Staff savings
The machine needs no night premium and no holiday.
Competitive edge
Be the first in your area with 24/7 service. Word gets around and makes your location the go-to place for the emergency purchase.
Resilience
During lockdowns or staff shortages, the machine keeps running.
What sells best 24/7?
Late-shop products (beer, chips, vapes), grilling meat (at the weekend), breakfast (eggs, milk), drugstore items (condoms, tests).
Technical requirements
For 24-hour operation the machine must be lit (safety and visibility), weatherproof for outdoor use and fitted with a reliable payment system. Telemetry is essential: that way you know in the morning exactly what sold overnight and when to restock.
24/7 machines: which models are suitable?
24-hour machines in practice
Hospital night operation
In a hospital, machines supply the night-shift staff and relatives with drinks and snacks. The canteen closes at 6 pm. The machine sells from 6 pm to 7 am almost as much as the canteen does during the day.
Petrol station after closing
At a petrol station stand two outdoor machines (drinks and snacks). After the shop closes at 10 pm, the machines take over. Night drivers and commuters pay contactlessly. The station operator saves the night shift.
Student halls of residence
In the foyer of a student residence stands a combi vending machine. Students buy snacks, energy drinks and instant noodles around the clock. Peak times: 10 pm–2 am. The operator earns 60% of their revenue after 8 pm.
Why 24/7 is the key to vending success
Safety in 24/7 operation
At night the risk of vandalism rises. Our machines protect themselves with: a steel housing (1.5 mm), safety glass, anti-pry locking and an optional camera connection. Telemetry reports unusual vibrations or opening attempts to your smartphone immediately. Tip: a well-lit location with camera surveillance lowers the risk considerably.

Power costs in continuous operation
A refrigerated machine consumes about 3–5 kWh per day in 24/7 operation (about €1–2). The LED lighting and the display add a further €0.50–1/day. Total power costs: about €45–90/month. These stand against a possible gross profit of €1,500–4,500/month.
Frequently asked questions about 24h
It depends on the federal state. In Baden-Württemberg, for example, there is often a ban from 10 pm. Our software can activate time locks for certain products (e.g. beer blocked from 10 pm, chips still available).
In residential areas, make sure of quiet cooling and no loud music from the screen at night.
Good lighting and video surveillance act as a deterrent.
Drinks (water, energy drinks), snacks, cigarettes (with age verification) and hygiene items. At hospitals, coffee too.
Yes. The payment terminal is active 24/7. At night in particular, most customers pay contactlessly, since cash is carried less often.
Yes. The telemetry software sends you push notifications for breakdowns, temperature deviations or unusual events.
As a rule yes. The extra costs (power, lighting) are €30–60/month. The additional night revenue clearly exceeds that in most cases.
