Telemetry: Your Machine in Your Pocket
Know what's going on – wherever you are. Telemetry is the heart of modern vending. Manage sales, stock and faults conveniently by app or browser.

GDPR compliant · CE and ISO 9001 certified · Made to our own design specifications

Never drive out for nothing again
Features at a glance
Live stock
See which spiral is empty.
Sales reports
Daily accounting (cash vs. card). Export for bookkeeping (Datev-ready).
Real-time fault alerts
Push notification for a coin jam, an open door or a temperature too high. You react before goods spoil or sales are lost.
Price adjustment
Change prices remotely (with digital price tags/touchscreens).
Vending management system (VMS)
We provide access to leading VMS platforms (e.g. Vendon, Nayax, Televend). These dashboards visualize your whole fleet. You see on a map which machine is profitable and which is not (best-seller/slow-seller list).
Retrofit: making old machines smart
Already have machines? We can retrofit almost any machine with an MDB interface (standard for 20 years) with a telemetry box. Get your old fleet ready for the future.
Telemetry: how predictive refill saves empty runs
Telemetry in use
Operators: routes by stock level
An operator with ten machines used to plan fixed refill days. With telemetry, they now only drive to units that predictive refill reports as soon to be empty. The result: fewer trips, no empty machine, saved time and fuel at the same sales.
Bookkeeping: daily figures
An operator exports the sales per machine to the day, split by cash and card (Datev-ready). The monthly accounting takes minutes instead of hours. They see immediately which location is profitable and which is not, and adjust the range in a data-driven way.
Chilled goods: temperature monitored
A machine with chilled products reports the internal temperature continuously. If it rises above the limit, a push notification comes immediately. The operator reacts before goods spoil. The temperature log also serves as proof for the hygiene documentation.
What is telemetry on a vending machine?
Technical connection and retrofit
The telemetry box is installed at the factory or retrofitted later. It accesses the operating data through the MDB interface, standard in almost every machine of the last 20 years, and sends it to the cloud via mobile (SIM) or Wi-Fi. On request we connect leading vending management systems like Vendon, Nayax or Televend, which visualize your whole fleet on a map. That way you see at a glance which machine runs profitably.

Costs and financing
At vyndo, telemetry is part of the overall concept, not a surcharge per machine. The machine itself is, depending on the model, €3,000–15,000 (purchase), rental from a one-day term, leasing from €99/month, all prices net plus VAT. For existing third-party units we offer a retrofit box. With connected third-party platforms, separate fees may apply, which we clarify transparently in the quote.
Frequently asked questions about telemetry
Telemetry is the wireless transmission of operating data from the machine in real time: stock levels, sales, payment methods and faults. A telemetry box in the unit sends this data to the cloud over mobile, where you see it by app or browser. The practical benefit lies in the trips: predictive refill shows you which machine is really running empty, so you only drive out when needed and make no empty run. At the same time, sensors report faults such as a coin jam or a temperature deviation by push, before goods spoil or sales are lost. At vyndo, telemetry is integrated into every machine; existing units with an MDB interface can be retrofitted with a retrofit box.
Yes. Almost every machine of the last 20 years has an MDB interface, and through it a telemetry box can be connected as a retrofit. That gets your existing fleet ready for live data without replacing units. After retrofitting, you see stock levels, sales and faults of the same machines in real time by app or browser and plan restocking runs with predictive refill. On request we connect the units to a vending management system like Vendon, Nayax or Televend, which visualizes the whole fleet on a map. Talk to us with your machine models, and we'll check which box fits your units.
You see the operation of each machine in real time. First, stock levels per spiral, so predictive refill shows you which unit will soon be empty. Second, sales to the day, split by cash and card, with an export for bookkeeping (Datev-ready). Third, fault alerts by push: coin jam, open door or temperature too high. Fourth, the device status, that is, whether the machine is online and ready. From this data you recognize on a fleet map which location runs profitably and which does not. That way you plan routes efficiently, adjust the range in a data-driven way and react to problems before the customer stands in front of an empty or broken machine.
Through the telemetry software you see stock levels, sales and device status in real time by app or browser. If a sensor reports a fault such as a coin jam, an open door or a temperature deviation, you get a push notification before goods spoil or sales are lost. Many actions you handle remotely, without being on site: changing prices, restarting the machine or acknowledging faults. We deliver software updates over the air (OTA). That way you save trips and react early to problems, instead of acting only when a customer complains or the machine fails completely.
Yes. For outdoor locations we offer weatherproof models with IP protection against rain and dust, as well as high-brightness displays for sunlight. Especially with outdoor units, telemetry is worth its money: an integrated temperature sensor monitors the cooling continuously and reports by push when it reaches its limit in high summer, before goods spoil. Moisture or a power outage are also detected immediately. Since outdoor locations are often further away, predictive refill saves especially many empty runs here, because you only drive out to refill when a unit really runs empty. Existing outdoor machines with an MDB interface we retrofit with a retrofit box. That way you keep even remote locations under control from afar.
No. Telemetry is made precisely to take technical work off your hands, not to burden you with it. You read stock levels, sales and fault alerts by app or browser, as easily as a weather app. The sensors and the data transmission over the mobile network run in the background, without you having to configure anything. Retrofitting existing units with an MDB interface we also handle with a retrofit box; you don't assemble anything yourself. During setup we set up your dashboard and show you how to plan routes by stock level. After that you operate everything yourself, and our support helps if you want to dig deeper into the analyses.
The biggest lever is the trips. Without telemetry you drive on a fixed schedule and often stand in front of half-full machines, and every such trip costs time and fuel. With predictive refill you only drive to units that really run empty and bundle routes geographically. That noticeably reduces empty runs. On top come two more effects: sold-out best-sellers are restocked before sales are lost, and faults such as a temperature deviation reach you by push before chilled goods spoil. The exact saving depends on fleet size and location density. The more machines you run and the further apart they are, the more the live control pays off.
